Eagle Project #2

So now it was Nick's turn to do his Eagle Project a month after Junior's. His has been kind of a pain because the committee here wanted him to add more to his project to make it take enough hours (they are still requiring a full 100 hour project despite what BSA says). Nick ended up doing the added-part first and is already over 100 hours. We are still waiting to hear whether they will accept it as done or will make him do the rest. The principal of the school he did the project at is very happy with what he did and does not mind at all if he doesn't do the rest. Spencer's school has this new Anti-Bullying program they've started and the principal had the idea to have the rules painted in the hallway and cafeteria of the school. So 3 days after Christmas this is what we went to do with part of my family who was visiting and some wonderful people from church. I'm going to have to brag on our ward again. There have been 4 Eagle projects (half were ours) carried out in less than 3 months. Over 700 hours of labor were recorded at these projects. 740 mittens were donated to the shelter here (Junior only planned on 500). So many people showed up to help these boys it was just incredible. We were told getting the Eagle rank here is more difficult than anywhere (due to the committee) but the members of the church have made it so much easier. It just amazes me what this ward has done recently (and part of 1st ward for Junior's project). Thank you so much to everyone for supporting our boys!
