Below are the three main leaders that helped it all happen--Heath Tennyson (their former scoutmaster), Loren Richards (the current one), and Hank Taylor, who was a great help in getting these boys excited about getting these done. It is SO great to have such awesome leaders, especially when you know how much they sacrifice in time and effort to help your kids when every one of them has great work and family responsibilities too. We were very blessed to be part of that ward during that time of the boys' lives.
And Nick got a special treat because his former scoutmaster has a very lovely daughter (Emma) that drove all the way here early so Nick could go on his first "official" date with her. It was funny because I have no intention of letting my boys' single-date but I really felt comfortable with this young lady and then her mom sent me a message after the date pretty much saying the same thing about Nick! It was great to hear that Nick was opening car doors for her and being respectful--it does a mother's heart good. :-)
Nick patiently waited for nearly a year to recieve his Eagle but it was a really nice evening and our old ward showed great support for Nick and Derek. 2 down, 2 to go...

It was very nice. Sorry that I was so late and sick. I felt bad later about being so whiny and pitiful on his special night. :)
